Mrs. Rogers

Hello everyone and welcome to Roots of Curiosity! My name is Sadie Rogers and I’m so excited to be your child’s teacher. This will be my 13th year in education. I taught public school for 12 years: 2nd grade for 2 years, pre-k for 8 years, and I've spent the last 2 years teaching kinder.

I went to Texas Tech University for my undergraduate and received my Masters in Early Childhood Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce. I am still a certified teacher.

While getting my Masters, I started to grow a love for the Reggio Emilia approach to educating young children. So during the summer, I decided to study abroad in Reggio Emilia, Italy. I got to see the beauty of Reggio classrooms, I got to visit the Loris Malaguzzi museum, and I got the opportunity to truly understand the ins and outs of the Reggio Emilia approach. I could see the need more and more in my classroom for this style of learning and it has become a passion of mine to be able to share this with parents in the U.S.

“Our task is to help children communicate with the world using all their potential, strengths and languages, and to overcome any obstacle presented by our culture.”

-Loris Malaguzzi: Founder of the Reggio Emilia Approach
